Government regularly considers mercy pleas from terrorists, separatists and
dacoits whilst ignoring the pleas of mercy from the common man who is robbed by
everyone on all sides. Terrorists of
all hues (separatists, jihadists, Maoists etc) make life miserable, high prices
and inflation make life unaffordable, increased pollution due to ever denser
population centres makes life unbreathable, government rules on quotas and
reservation makes jobs and education unobtainable, taxes and crazy bureaucracy

Yet, the people, neutered by 63 year of socialist secular democracy, do nothing
to change any of it. They don’t vote
for change, they don’t ask tough questions of “good governance” from their
elected officials, the don’t challenge the bureaucracy that strangles their
lives, they don’t fight the goons in the streets that make their life a misery,
so what should we expect in terms of fighting bigger state or nationwide terror
? The people, the people of
Political interference has reached such an incipid level, government regularly decides which books we read, which films we see. Even if the book or film has nothing to do with the government, or its normal business, “it” decides what the masses are able or unable to see. Like curred children, we let the government decide for us, never questioning, never complaining. We silently break the law if we want by getting some foreign relative to send us the book or the film, but we wont protest at the government for insulting our intelligence. Our fantastic “mature democracy” is so feudal in reality, no one, bar no one, is allowed to question or doubt the uncrowned royal dynasty of the Nehrus and Gandhis. Every thing from the local sports stadium to the national largesse’s paid for by our tax money is named after living or dead Gandhis and Nehru, and no one questions why. No one is allowed to point a finger and say how royally the Nehru dynasty has robbed the nation, taking away its wealth and putting it in secret bank accounts abroad. No one is allowed to question the momentous gaffs and terrible foreign policy decisions of the dynasty.
Our neutering is so complete, we can catch our politicians red-handed, with
video, audio and documentary proof of their guilt, and yet, they still carry on
ruling us as if nothing has happened.
