During the "Khel", Lord plays
with colurs for nearly 40 days ! Every morning, Yashodaji dresses her darling child in
chaste white. Every morning, He plays with chova, chandan, abil and gulal
! Within an hour, his clothes are covered in colour !!
What is a mother to do !!!!!
For Shringar, pearls and precious stones are swapped with enamelled gold
jewellery - as gold is easier to clean and keeps its lustre even though its
covered in colour on a daily basis.
Winter’s heavy, deep melodies of love give way to fast
racy kirtans extolling the virtue of brave gopies beating Nandlal and His
friends for harassing them.Together they corner
the gopas and force them to wear saris and swear never to pester them again !
Alas, Vraj-raj elludes them and continues to drench their best saris with sprays
of coloured water.
During certain festivals, groves of Vraj are recreated in the inner
sanctum when plants surround Shri Nathji. Abil, gulal and kesudo are
liberally sprinkled everywhere from the inner-most sanctum to the outermost
door. No one escapes without his /
her clothes being coloured by Ladilelal. On the last day of the
festival, Doluttsav, Shri
NavnitPriyaji swings on behalf of Shri Nathji in the Dol-tibari as the entire
town gets drenched in colour !!
This is truly a season to enjoy an active
participation in the lila of the Lord.
This site is dedicated to Pushti Marg, the Path of (Divine)
Grace, as envisioned by H.H. Shri Vallabhacharyaji.
Shri Vallabh is the source of
inspiration and guidance for this site. Welcome to the virtual Haveli of ShriNathji on the web. Please note, this site is not affiliated to the actual Haveli
at Nathadwara.
With the grace of God, this site
first came about in
the autumn 1996 on Geocities, hosting millions of visitors during its 13 years there. Since Geocites closed down in Nov 2009, the site has been
recreated at Pusthi-Marg.net and re-launched in Jan 2010 Re-editing the original site's 200 plus pages and
over 500 images took a long time ! We hope you
will continue to visit us at the new site.
Several Goswamies, including Shri Mathureshwarji,
H.H. Indira betiji and PritiRaja betiji have expressed an interest in the site
and have generously contributed their support for the site. Several of
these are happy to communicate via email with anyone interested to know more
about Pushti Marg. HH Shri RaghuNathlalji has also been very generous and has given full permission to
publish extracts from his PhD
thesis on the site.
Param bhagvadiya Shri Amit Ambala has given his kind
permission to use pictures from his book - Krishna as Shri Nathji. Param bhagvadiya Shri Shyamdasji has given kind permission
to publish his articles and extracts from his books.
